Ella recently graduated with a Master's in City Planning from UC Berkeley. She is now working for the Natural Resources Defense Council on California state land use and transportation policy with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions through reduced reliance on car travel. Her time in Project Conserve at the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy directly influenced her decision to pursue land use and planning--our mountains and farmland can only be conserved if people have other good choices of where to live and work. She is very grateful for the time she spent at SAHC and the people she got to know.
