Project Conserve members are in an ideal position to contribute to the capacity building efforts of their host site organizations. In addition to the direct services provided, members work with host sites to increase their long-term capacity and effectiveness in meeting environmental and conservation needs.
Members conduct capacity building activities to increase the long-term efficiency and effectiveness of their host site organizations. Capacity building activities are ongoing throughout the service term.
Capacity building activities include:
- developing new educational programs for their host sites,
- formalizing volunteer management practices,
- evaluating and implementing new technologies for conservation projects, and
- building strategic partnerships with other community organizations.
