About Project Conserve: Focus Areas

Improvement of Public Lands

We do not inherit the land from our ancestors,
we borrow it from our children." -American Indian Proverb

The most effective way to make long-term ecosystem improvements is by targeting at-risk areas and making strategic efforts to restore natural habitats.

Project Conserve members will make sustainable improvements to public lands including:

  • Restore natural habitats
  • Remove invasive species
  • Conduct prescribed burns
  • Plant trees

These types of projects involve community volunteers recruited by the members, in addition to partner organizations.
